2 lbs. baby red potatoes
1 T butter
1 T flour
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup half & half
1 bunch fresh dill roughly chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 t allspice
In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Strain water and leave the potatoes in the pot.
In a separate saucepan, melt butter and add flour mixing until it is a soft paste. Add cream and whisk to avoid clumps. Slowly add milk and continue whisking and simmering for about 5 minutes. Add allspice and season with salt and pepper.
Pour cream sauce over potatoes add dill and mix until potatoes are covered thoroughly. Perfect with fish, grilled meats, or shots of Aquavit.
