INGREDIENTS:

1 1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1-1/2 t almond extract
2/3 cup of milk
1-1/4 cup flour
1/2 t baking powder
1 stick melted butter
1/4 cup of slivered almonds

 

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350˚ F.
In a bowl beat well sugar, milk, egg, and extract.
Add flour and baking powder and mix well.
Mix in melted butter.
Spray almond cake pan with food release spray and spread almonds evenly across bottom of pan.
Pour mixture into pan and put in oven, baking for 40-50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out cleanly.
